For ATEA I photographed a really cool project from Microsoft called Hololens. It seams that a lot of companies are interested in the virtual and augmented reality field.

In this image I wanted to show how the image is projected onto the glasses so I used my Profoto zoom spot flash added two tones of gel and directed it so that most of the light would hit the glas screens inside the Hololens so that the visual idea of image projection would shine through.

In these behind the scenes imagery you can see how I set up the shoot and light the scene. A Profoto zoomspot with blue and magenta gels for direction and general mood of the image. I added two white panels for fill on the sides and a foamcore on top light by a gridded Pro Head for a gradiant for the front and top of the Hololens. I added a third light as well to give a reflection of the camera lenses inside of the frame and in the front of the Hololens
