Pop-up studio #YSLBeautySweden

Recently I did a pop up photoshoot at a YSL beauty conference. Me and the retoucher Axel Persson shot, edited and printed 25 Faux magazine covers of makeupartists own creations. Each makeupartist was given 40 minutes to create their look and after that they probably got about 5 - 7 minutes in front of the camera.

So a pretty tight schedule, but very fun. They also got to see the speedy retouching process and get their own print as a memory!

I just love the crazyness in this pose! and right of the bat, I told the makeupartist that this is a winner. And guess what? I was right! :)

TECH-stuff

I set up a sheet of aluminum as a background and I shot one Profoto Head with reflector on the background and had a Silver beauty dish with a 25 degree grid as my main light for the subject.

All images where shot with a PhaseOne XF camera and IQ1 40MP digital back, tethered into Capture One Pro. Once we selected the best image I exported a PSD file in the output folder for Axel to grab and start the retouch. Once completed, I got the files and started printing.
